Once upon a time, APL discovered that he could open drawers and doors. He enjoyed doing this very very much. He also enjoyed emptying everything in the drawers and behind the doors, and strewing their contents around the room. His Maman had previously told him to arrĂȘt but he pretended not to understand spoken language.
One day he became bored with constantly opening and empying the same drawers and doors. He said to himself, "There must be more to life than this." Just then, he looked up and discovered... countertops! "There's stuff up there!" he thought excitedly to himself. APL reached and reached but was forced, in the end, to conclude that he was... short. He reluctantly returned to his drawers and doors.
But, just as he was returning to his favorite drawer, Maman showed up. "Qu'est-ce que tu fais, mon amour?!!" she demanded, alarm clearly discernible in her voice. Things were not looking good for APL. Would he fall and injure himself? Would he be quickly pulled from his favorite drawer? Luckily for him, none of that would happen that day. Instead, Maman was instantly disarmed by...
