We went to the doctor today... Actually we saw the nurse/midwife. This was Karin's inaugural visit so they had her strip down to her birthday-suit and don a hospital gown. Then the nurse/midwife had her way with Karin - right in front of me! I didn't say anything, though, because she promised to show us images of the little guy (or gal). So, following the "examination", Karin was invaded by an ultrasound machine. It wasn't exactly the most modern ultrasound - I think I saw it loading DOS 3.1 when she turned it on - but it did the trick... We got to see a little blob with what she said is a heartbeat! She also said she could see a leg and how the body was oriented but mostly it looked remarkably like a blob. Mind you, it is the cutest, smartest and most well-adjusted blob I have ever seen! The computer printed out black and white images of it all.. I'll post as soon as I get them scanned.
The official due date that the nurse/midwife gave us today is March 15, 2008. The Ides of March is lucky, right?
